Market Update

“Ok, here is my theory going into the new year… it will take a couple of months for me to be proven right, but I’m pretty certain that it will come to fruition. The market slowed as interest rates made big jumps in 2022 because it was a huge shock to so many people.

Buyers who were pre-approved and searching at 3-4% interest rates were now looking at 6-7% and weren’t able to afford what they could previously. However, things have changed!

These (still low) interest rates are here to stay and buyers who are in the market are not stunned anymore, it’s just their "normal” as they begin their searches.

Inventory is still VERY low and buyers are ready to buy!! Open Houses will be busy again, sellers could receive multiple offers on updated “move-in ready” properties and showings could be in abundance again! Give us a call to review any questions you have, so we can review your specific real estate needs.”

Coming to Sterling

There is a new development coming to our area that is facing mixed reviews by our local neighbors. Taking over the space where the Regal Movie Theater was located, Regal Chase’s stylish and modern condos are along the Dulles Technology Corridor.

While the development advertises itself as a “walkable to some of your favorite restaurants and shops”, there have been concerns about the increase in traffic our area will face.

Let us know your thoughts, or if you have any questions about the development!
