Our Story
MaryEllen started in real estate over 13 years ago and has never looked back. What she loves and thrives on is seeing her clients hitting their real estate goals. Giving the keys to someone to start their next chapter, helping someone with a way to invest their hard-earned money, seeing the finished product of a rehabbed property being restored to its glory, imagining the kids running in the new backyard, helping you find the perfect place to start your family…. The list goes on. THAT is what this team is passionate about.
Heather was originally introduced to MaryEllen as a client in 2019, when she helped her, and her husband purchase their first home! In 2020, Heather joined the team, and our clients are already singing her praises because of her follow-through, professionalism, and care in assisting them with their Real Estate goals!
During quarantine, Heather learned a brand-new industry, raising her precious baby girl, and now a new baby, AND completed #75Hard while her husband was still traveling for work.
On February 1, 2021, Ragsdale Homes became Redefined.RealEstate when we rebranded and took the “non sense out of real estate.”

MaryEllen Ragsdale has a long history and interest in real estate, initially beginning licensure courses right out of college! Real estate is a natural fit for MaryEllen as it allows her to utilize her 12 years of experience in negotiation and client management to help her clients navigate through the complicated (and sometimes overwhelming) process of Real Estate transactions. Her goal at the end of each transaction is for her clients to say, “that was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.” Having lived in the Northern Virginia area since 2009, MaryEllen loves working with people, and enjoys sharing with her clients the benefits that living in this area can bring. Her primary focus is working for the best interest of her clients at all times.
A breast cancer survivor, MaryEllen is active in her Potomac Falls community and understands the importance of surrounding herself with good people. A runner and mother of 3 boys, there is nothing she cannot handle, and she brings that tenaciousness to her interactions with her clients.

With over a decade of experience in the luxury health and wellness industry, Heather decided to pivot her career after meeting MaryEllen in 2019. As a new homeowner, she and her husband were introduced to MaryEllen through a mutual friend and became first-time homeowners through the expertise, careful attention, and dedication MaryEllen shared. As a result of this momentous transaction, mentorship and friendship developed between MaryEllen and Heather.
Heather joined the team in 2020 and brings dynamic energy to the team! With her attention to detail, passion for relationship-building, and relentless follow-through, Heather is a true advocate for our clients and supports our business thoroughly. Her energy is not only fueled by the success of happy clients, but she is also kept in high spirits thanks to her two young children, Chocolate Labrador, and husband.
